The New Jersey Militia, Heard's Brigade, opposed His Majesty's Finest to put on an encampment on the grounds of the festival as well as demonstrate two skirmishes. A rather large audience was on hand to listen to the bands playing, see vendors, take hay rides, go pumpkin picking, and talk to the Revolutionary War reenactors. A spirited engagement wherein His Majesty's forces acquitted themselves well, despite being outnumbered and facing artillery, drew a large body of spectators who appreciated the spectacle. Good weather, good people, and a good site made for a very enjoyable afternoon.
