"...whether in the advance or in the retreat, in the battle or in the breach, the 35th Regiment was ever esteemed a hard- fighting corps..."
--General Sir John Oswald, GCB GCMG

The Royal Sussex Society is a multi-period living history organization dedicated to keeping the memory of the regiment alive and the times in which it served.

The Society is principally based in northern New Jersey and has three primary periods which it interprets: the War of Spanish Succession, the American Revolution, and the Victorian era.  Most of our events are in the Mid-Atlantic region, typically one or two per month on weekends.

The Society maintains high standards and takes its work seriously, but we also have a good time while doing so!

We are recruiting new members!  Want to know more?  Contact us!
